There are many ways to cook broccoli. Our family enjoys steamed broccoli, but roasted broccoli takes it to another level. The broccoli is crisp and has none of the mushy texture often associated with steamed broccoli.
Roasted broccoli is actually easier to cook than the steam version. You simply line a cookie pan with aluminum foil, layer the broccoli and roast it to a golden brown.
You can also experiment with flavors. Most recipes call for olive oil and garlic. However, we also add sesame oil and red pepper. Other additions could include ginger, lemon, parmesan cheese, soy sauce and other types of seasonings.
Roasted broccoli is a great side dish for all kinds of meals. In the pictures here we served it with our Sous Vide Chicken Pesto.
